SPEAKER(S) BIOGRAPHY

Speaker (London): Charles Prest, Barrister, No. 6 Chambers, Leeds. Charles has practised as a Barrister since 2005. He was previously a Solicitor in both the private and public sectors including being the Director of Legal Services at CAFCASS where he held the role formerly held by the Official Solicitor in children law cases. He specialises in children law matters and sits as a Deputy District Judge. Charles is a prolific contributor to many leading publications including the Butterworths Family Law Service (LexisNexis), Children Law: An Interdisciplinary Handbook (Jordans) and the Family Law Case Library: Children (Jordans).

Speaker (Manchester): Stephen Switalski, Barrister. Stephen qualified as a Solicitor in 1981 and was Senior Partner of leading West Yorkshire firm "Switalski's" for 10 years, before moving to the Bar in March 2006. He is now a family law specialist practising from No 6 Chambers in Leeds and a highly regarded speaker. Having been a Solicitor he appreciates and anticipates the practical difficulties and problems that practitioners face.
