Mental Health law is a niche area of practice as a core subject, but it also often impinges on criminal practice, family law practice and elderly client practice.
Those lawyers seeking to move into this niche area must have a grounding in the law before attending the mandatory two day MHRT accreditation course. This seminar will assist in getting that grounding.
Additionally it will be of great benefit to those lawyers in other areas of practice who will come across clients with various mental health problems as well as those whose existing clients ask for occasional Tribunal representation.
It will explain the basic law and give practical advice on case preparation and advocacy.

Speaker: Christina Moller, Barrister Alexander Chambers, specialises in mental health, medical and human rights law. She has delivered seminars to lawyers (as well as academics) and spoken on Radio London. Before transferring to the Bar she was a criminal defence solicitor.
