Terms & Conditions of Booking

Payment: Payment of the course fee is due 30 days from the date of the invoice or before the seminar date whichever is the sooner. The delegate and firm and/or organisation placing the booking shall be jointly and severally liable for payment of the course fee. We reserve the right to claim interest pursuant to the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 on overdue fees. Cancellations & Refunds: All cancellations must be in writing. For bookings cancelled at least 22 days (by 5.00pm) prior to the course date we will refund the course fee. For bookings cancelled between 21 and 8 days (by 5.00pm) prior to the course date the course fee remains payable and is non-refundable. Delegates may attend another course of equivalent value free of charge. Where the course is of lesser value, the balance will either be held in credit against your account or set off against outstanding fees at our discretion. For bookings cancelled 7 days or less (by 5.00pm) inclusive of the course date the course fee remains payable and is non-refundable. Delegates may attend another course for an administration fee of £50.00 plus VAT. We reserve the right to alter the course content, speaker or venue where necessary. Should we have to cancel a course we do not accept responsibility for travel, accommodation or other costs which may have been incurred by any delegate. Course Materials: Course materials are prepared solely for the benefit of delegates and are not a substitute for legal advice. Neither the author nor MBL accept responsibility for loss howsoever occasioned to any person or persons arising from reliance on such materials. Substitutions: Delegates may be substituted at any time at no additional cost. MBL Season Ticket: Save where advertised otherwise an MBL Firm Season Ticket entitles all firm members up to 50% discount on all courses and is valid for courses within a 12 month period from the date of the first course booked. An MBL Individual/Trainee/Barrister Season Ticket is not transferable. Trainee Season Tickets are valid until the date of qualification. Individual Season Tickets are valid for all courses attended within a 12 month period from the date of the first course booked. Season Ticket holders agree to receive email updates on our products and promotions but can opt-out of these communications at any time. The cost of an MBL Season Ticket is payable within 30 days from the date of the invoice and is not refundable. All MBL Season Tickets will be renewed automatically upon expiry or where a booking is made beyond the current Season Ticket expiry date. If you do not wish to renew you must inform us within 7 days of the date of the renewal invoice and bookings made within this period will be re-processed at full price.

Terms & Conditions of Booking – In-House

For bookings cancelled at least 60 days prior to the course date we will refund the course fee. For bookings cancelled less than 60 days prior to the course date the course fee remains payable and is non-refundable. If within the 30 day period prior to the course date you request a change of course date we will use all reasonable endeavours to accommodate the request and an administration fee of 20% of the total course fee will be payable prior to the revised date. Speaker: We reserve the right to alter the course content and/or speaker for reasons beyond our control. Course Materials: Course materials are prepared solely for the benefit of delegates and are not a substitute for legal advice. Neither the author nor MBL accept responsibility for loss howsoever occasioned to any person or persons arising from reliance on such materials. Delegates: We require final delegate numbers at least 7 days prior to the course date. The attendance of any delegate or delegates from any firm or organisation other than the booking originator is expressly prohibited. Catering: We do not cover the cost of venue, equipment or catering requirements for In-House courses.

Terms & Conditions of Booking - Training Credits

Payment: Payment of fees for Training Credits is due 30 days from the date of the invoice. We reserve the right to claim interest pursuant to the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 on overdue fees. Use of Credits: Unused credits may be rolled over into the next quarter. Where credits are overused in any one quarter by 20% or greater then we reserve the right to raise an invoice for the following quarter’s payment. Cancellations & Refunds: All cancellations must be in writing. For bookings cancelled within 3 days of the course date we will apply an administration fee equivalent to one Training Credit. We reserve the right to alter the course content, speaker or venue where necessary. Should we have to cancel a course we do not accept responsibility for travel, accommodation or other costs which may have been incurred by any delegate. Course Materials: Course materials are prepared solely for the benefit of delegates and are not a substitute for legal advice. Online Seminars Terms and Conditions

General: These terms and conditions apply to all users of MBL Online Seminars. Payment: Payment of the applicable fee published from time to time by MBL is required at the time of processing your purchase request. Once payment has been received in full an email acknowledgment confirming acceptance of your purchase request and containing your seminar activation link will be sent to you. User Access: Payment of a single delegate fee permits single user access only and the copying and/or distribution of an Online Seminar or Seminars is not permitted without the express written consent of MBL. Duration: You will have 30 days to complete your Online Seminar which shall commence from the date of the email acknowledgment referred to above. CPD Hours: Where applicable, subject to satisfactory completion of the multiple choice questions which appear at the conclusion of each Online Seminar, you will receive an email detailing the number of CPD hours obtained together with the MBL accreditation reference. Technical: Prior to submitting a purchase request it is your responsibility to ensure that our technology is compatible with your systems. MBL is not liable or responsible for any technical issues which may arise as a result of your failure to ensure compatibility as above. Due to its inherent nature you acknowledge that MBL is not liable or responsible for and delay, disruption or disturbance in the operation of the internet. Similarly you acknowledge that 24 hour access to this website may be interrupted due to telecommunications failures which are beyond the control of MBL and/or downtime for repairs, maintenance and upgrading. Technical Support: Email support is available between the hours of 9.00am and 5.30pm, Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). Requests for support should be sent by email and we will respond as soon as reasonably practicable. Copyright: Copyright and all intellectual property rights in Online Seminars and materials remains vested in MBL or its presenters. Limitation of Liability: In the event of any breach by MBL arising out of or connected with this website and/or Online Seminars, MBL shall not be liable to you for the following: indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of earnings and revenue, loss of time, loss and/or corruption of data, anticipated savings or goodwill. In any event the maximum liability to you for any claim arising (whether in contract, negligence, tort or otherwise) shall be limited to the applicable fee paid in respect of the Online Seminar being the subject matter of the claim. Presenters, authors and MBL will not accept responsibility for loss howsoever occasioned to any person or persons arising from any reliance; including reliance on any content for the purposes of giving advice to third parties. Other: Nothing in these terms and conditions shall limit or affect any loss or damage for death or personal injury as a result of MBL’s negligence. A person who is not a party to this agreement shall have no rights under the Contract (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any of its terms. These conditions shall be subject to English law and any dispute and/or difference shall be determined by proceedings in the English courts.
