Our charity work

Here at MBL we are committed to giving something back and support a number of charities through fundraising and volunteering. Take a look at some of our recent efforts.

St. Ann’s Hospice

MBL employees regularly visit the Little Hulton site of St. Ann’s Hospice to volunteer and give a helping hand with garden maintenance. There is always lots to be done including painting garden furniture, tidying up the flower beds, and weeding.

Red Cross Appeal

Supporting local causes means a lot to our team. In the wake of the Manchester Arena bombing, MBL employees raised £173 with a cake sale, and all proceeds were donated to the Red Cross Manchester Appeal

10k Midnight Walk

Members of the MBL team joined more than 1,000 walkers for the Manchester Midnight Walk in aid of St. Ann’s Hospice. The 10k route saw our team starting at Manchester cathedral, and walking past some of Manchester’s most famous landmarks, including Old Granada Studios, Spinningfields, and the Northern Quarter. Thanks to the kind generosity of our donators, a grand total of £3779.89 was raised!

Quiz Night

We regularly hold a quiz night at the Worsley Park Marriott Hotel & Country Club to raise money for St Ann's Hospice. To date, dozens of our clients have joined in to help us raise over £10,000.

Macmillan Cancer Support

We love putting our baking skills to the test and raising money for a worthwhile cause by taking part in the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning.  Here’s a few of our ‘Star Bakes’ from recent years.

Christmas Jumper Day

Every year we dig out our finest festive jumpers to raise money for Save the Children. Last year we raised a record £1,230 and are looking forward to more creative ensembles this year.
